Welcome to Boho Sapien!

Oh my Goodness!  Boho Sapien is finally open!  It's been a VERY long time coming!  The Dream was there in High School to open my own Brick and Morter Shop.  There was no Internet back then if you can believe it?  I was a Professional Musician and Fine Jeweler with a full schedule, so I just couldn't find the time.

Fast forward quite a few years later, I finally started putting things in motion for an online Shop in 2016 but again, just couldn't get it all together.  I believe that all things come together in their proper timing, so I just stayed hopeful, patient and held on to the Dream.  Everything finally fell into place here in 2024.

The concept for Boho Sapien really started in my Childhood.  I was born in 1970 and the 60's ideals and the spirit of the times, really poured over into my heart and into my young life.  A way of Life that still lasts deep within me until this day. 

I've always dreamed of getting back to that "True" Garden where everyone lives with all things in common, cares for their fellow Brothers and Sisters, Grows their own food and lives freely and Peacefully.  I've also been a Professional Musician all my life and I actually write songs about getting "Back to the Garden" (the title of one of my newest songs).

I have a small Farm on my Property and I grow my own Organic Fruits and Vegetables.  I live a very simple, Earthy life, filled with Creative Arts, Music, Gardening, Nature, Animals and so many other Beautiful things that keep me grounded, filled with joy and at Peace.

So, in the 60's and 70's there were shops called "Head" Shops.  These were shops for hippies and others who had already expanded or were considering expanding their conscious minds.  These were folks who loved to decorate their dwellings and themselves with all the Coolest Home Decor Items, Jewelry, Clothing and Accessories that reflected who they truly were without ever having to say a word.

Honestly, every time I walked into a Head Shop, I could hardly contain my excitement!  I mean, that was the absolute coolest place to be!  Total sensory overload, but in the best possible way.  There were Posters, Tapestries from India, Gauze Clothing from India, Dashikis from Africa, Turquoise and Coral Jewelry from Tibet, Bags from the Himalayas, Love Beads, Tie-dyed Shirts, Hand-carved items, Religious Statuary from all Religions, Incense and Burners, Rugs, Tables, Lava Lamps and the occasional Hookah!

There was Cool Stuff EVERYWHERE!  In Wooden Bowls, Brass Bowls, On the Counter, On Tables and Shelves!  Just an Awesome Experience all around!

What I loved the most, was that I was seeing Hand-made Goods from all around the World and they were so different and unique from anything else you'd see in a regular department store.  These items brought me comfort and made me feel like I was home.

These Shops were always run by Hippies for Hippies!

There was always a group of very relaxed and friendly people hanging out at the counter with the owner or employees and always a group hanging outside talking, sharing stories or music or showing everybody what they just purchased for their place.  Basically, everyone was spending time together and just enjoying the day.

These Shops were a gathering place for a tribe of people coming together with all things in common.  It was Beautiful to see!

The items that they purchased brought them comfort and reflected a lifestyle and a connection to others who were just like them.  Beautiful and Unique!

At Boho Sapien, I strive, with my whole heart, to create that really Cool and Beautiful, Peaceful and Safe Place for YOU to come together with your Tribe to find items that bring you Comfort and Joy, items that reflect who you are to others without having to say a word.  Items that make you feel like you are Home, just like they did for me when I was a child.

I truly appreciate each and every one of you.  You are ALL Precious Jewels!  I want to see you live as freely and Authentically as your True-self as much as you possibly can while living on this Wonderful Planet!
